Seek/Follow/Tweet

by Tyler Weaver.  Follow me on Twitter.

As you may be aware, it's Friday.  A shocking fact, I know.  I was stunned to find this out.  I was even more stunned to remember that it was time to return to my Follow Friday duties on Twitter.  For those of you not in the Twitter-know, (#)FollowFriday is simply that - mention and select people you think your followers should follow.

New year = new #FollowFriday format.  I do this for a number of reasons.

One.  I cannot remember everyone I follow, despite my best efforts.

Two.  I can't be trusted to come up with something remotely interesting or coherent every Friday.

Three.  In the likely event that I forget it's Friday, this is a simple and much more interesting way to not have to repeat myself, leave anyone out, attempt to come up with something charming, or simply wile away my day in a Twitter-overload stupor.

Four.  Lists aren't fun, and I rarely follow people if they're lumped together.  Plus, these are really cool people who I've had the chance to get to know over the year, and have since become a little 140-character family to me.

Special props to @jeannevb and @grking for their trailblazing approach here - an approach which I will unrepentantly steal.

Weekly, I will update this list as my memory allows, or as new people pop up which tip the "coolness" balance.  By the end of the year, it will a radioactive rampaging Tweety bird spectacular.  Tweet.  Tweet.

Onward...

Welcome to the 10 of ______, 2010!
Next week, you'll be added into your new homes with the rest of the essentials.  Cheers to all of you for making the Twitter experience worth it!

TO BE UPDATED.... EVENTUALLY.

There's plenty of kick-ass people to follow below.  Chill.

THAT NEW BOOK SMELL
Purveyors of the printed word, of that wordy thing called a novel - the thing that I would love to do sometime, yet just can't handle all those words.  These people can, and we're all the better for it.

@ThereseWalsh - Released her debut novel, The Last Will of Moira Leahy in October.  Give it a look, and be sure to check out her website, and follow her.  Be prepared for the adventures of Therese and Kismet.

RESTORING MY FAITH IN THE HUMAN RACE
Pretty self-explanatory.

@studio_gal - Makes the whole Twitter experience worthwhile.  Sentimental caffeination, literary excellence, and an impeccable sense of being there just when needed to brighten up a day.  Also a great source of amusement as she relays stories of Thomas the Throw-Up Cat.  Go ahead.  Just ask her.

@ellagreeneyes - We love Claude Rains, and I've begun her training in the world of James Bond.  And she likes kitties.  Because if you don't like kitties...

@ecowordsmith - graciousness and assistance go hand in hand with Twitter.  Kathryn is a corporate writing specialist who took the time to edit the text on my website, which still gives me reason to smile. And she unleashes the inner geek once in awhile.  Punctuation, grammar, kind heart, and inner geekdom.  Don't pass it up.

@lmlTN - Political junkie, owner of dog-kitty duo of toilet paper destroyers, and constantly restoring my faith in intelligent discourse.

@musiccitygal - Politics.  Common Sense.  Crab Rangoons.  Yes, please.  Follow.

Thank you so much for the #FF mention in your blog ;) You make me blush. But I have to confess that my nephew no longer loves Batman. He is now - firmly - in the Spiderman camp. When I asked him why - his answer was because his older brother (who loves Spiderman) kept flushing his Batman action figures down the toilet. It was safer for him to defect. ;) Cheers!
